Life, like art, can change dramatically by the way you look at it. To keep life in perspective, I find it useful sometimes to step back from a situation and examine the larger picture. It can also be just as insightful to move in for a macro look at circumstances causing angst in your world.
Storms Will Come
A quote from Year of the Flood: “Storms of life will come. It need not be the storms that define us, but rather our response to them. If you can find humor in your darkest hour, you will shine light into that darkness and lift the veil. You will also feel lighter in the process.”
Beings of Light
We are beings of light, living for a time in this world, and then moving on. Treat yourself with the kindness you would hope from others, and then extend that out to those around you.
Your Thoughts Become Your Reality
All physical things were thoughts before they existed. The car you drive, the house you live in, the furniture you are sitting on, and the device you are reading this on were all ideas first. Thought is a powerful thing. If your thoughts are negative, that is what you will manifest into your life. Conversely, positive thoughts will produce positive energy around you, and you will draw people with similar energy into your circle.
You have the power
The story you tell yourself, the dialogue that runs inside your head, is the reality you manifest into your life. You have complete control over that story. If it is not the one you want, rewrite it.
We have been given free will. That means we are not bound by some mysterious force making choices for us. We create most of the obstacles in our own way, and we can un-create them, but we must change the thoughts that put them there in the first place.
