Lighted Fountains At Dusk
April 26, 2019

Murphy and I spent the evening with a photographer friend, looking for light along the riverside parks in Cincinnati. This image, entitled Lighted Fountains at Dusk, feels sophisticated. Visions of black ties, evening gowns, and champagne pass through my imagination. A wisp of Bix Beiderbecke, or Benny Goodman hang in the air. Well heeled passengers queue up to board a finely appointed Pullman rail car at Union Terminal for destinations unknown. I...

Morning Light In Spring
April 15, 2019

There is an awesome power in nature. From the magnitude of energy expended to burst forth life, or its ability to inspire our imagination, it is a wonder to behold. This majestic ent, radiating with the morning light in spring, gives me hope. Hope for the future. Hope in a new day to learn from the stumbles of yesterday. Hope to shed the cloak of negativity and indifference, and don the raiment of all that is possible when we dare to believe in...

Spring is Rolling on the River
April 10, 2019

It finally happened! Spring is rolling on the river, and Mary couldn't be prouder! You may be wondering what flowers in a riverside park and this John Fogerty classic might have in common. Or for that matter "Have you ever seen the rain, on Green River, Looking Out My Back Door?" Bad Moon Growing up, songs...

Visitor To Yeatman’s Cove
April 5, 2019

Murphy greets a new visitor to Yeatman's Cove Park. There is a new addition to the park today. We discovered Mr Red, sitting on a newly installed bench emblazoned with the 150th Reds Celebration logo. Murphy was not the only interested party, as folks walking through the park stopped for a photo-shoot with the Cincinnati icon. More where that came from I discovered that there are 14 benches planned around the city, each with Mr Red in...

April 3, 2019

I have been thinking about the question, do dogs have a sense of humor? In musing about this topic, it occurs to me that they must. Or at least, they certainly have personality. And just like people, each one is unique. Case in point, this lovable hound will do anything for attention. That includes making faces if that’s what it takes. I will leave you with this picture of Murphy laughing, to get you over the hump this week. Wishing you a...
